Delivery / Returns

Reminder: All the objects in this store are vintage, they are therefore not new and sometimes contain traces of use over time which will always be indicated in the description and in the photos. But at Le Chapeau Magique we only offer you pieces in very good condition or whose small minor defects do not detract from the beauty of the jewelry. Particular attention is also paid to their cleaning, their restoration as well as suitable packaging so that the pieces arrive in their best shape at your home! ☺


Returns and exchanges

I accept returns and exchanges without problem
Contact me as quickly as possible.
Items must be returned within 14 days of delivery.


I accept returns:

If the item arrives defective* or does not conform to the item purchased, all costs (shipping costs + item + return costs) will be fully refunded once the returned package has arrived at the Chapeau Magique address.

*Excluding packages damaged by the carrier

If the item arrives in good condition and corresponds to the item ordered but does not suit you, only the item will be refunded, shipping costs will not be refunded and return costs will be your responsibility.
The refund will be made once I have collected the item and its good condition has been noted and validated.

Terms of delivery

A processing time of 1 to 3 days* is required before sending.
*Excluding exceptional deadlines (e.g. vintage or holiday markets) mentioned in the header on the site's home page and on social networks. If you have any doubts contact me.

Delivery times are those of La Poste Française.
Le Chapeau Magique cannot be held responsible for an abnormally long delivery time from La Poste.

The tracking number will be sent to you by email upon confirmation of order shipment.

Customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
The order is sent within a week of payment (working days).

Personal delivery in Lyon is free (subject to availability).
The order can be collected at the Cité des Halles (Lyon 7th). You will be contacted to arrange a day and time for collection.

Standard: The order is sent by letter followed by the French Post in a bubble envelope with a tracking number.
In the event of loss of the package, the post office reimburses 3 times the amount of the actual shipping costs or 23€/1kg

We recommend this delivery option for orders over €40. The value of the goods will be reimbursed by the Post Office in the event of loss.

>> Colissimo shipping with insurance: The order is sent parcels via the Colissimo service of La Poste.

ALL ORDERS OVER €45 will automatically be sent with this delivery option.

LOST PACKAGES – STOLEN

To minimize the loss or theft of a package, all orders are shipped with a tracking number.
LE CHAPEAU MAGIQUE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE for lost or stolen packages, or an abnormally long delivery time.
A package is considered lost after a delay of more than 90 days by La Poste.
NO REFUND will be made by Le Chapeau Magique in the event of loss of the package by the carrier.

In the event of delay or loss we can open a dispute with the carrier. (The file processing times by the carrier are long - up to several weeks - and reimbursement is minimal on a package without insurance.)
